Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Accrua. Please read them carefully — they explain what we provide, what we ask of you, and the limits of our responsibility. They work alongside our Privacy Policy.

01Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you, or the business you represent (“you”), and Accrua (“Accrua,” “we,” or “us”). By completing the intake, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

02The service

Accrua provides continuous bookkeeping with a monthly close reviewed by a real controller. Depending on your plan, the service includes ongoing reconciliation, a clean monthly close, and controller-reviewed financial statements.

We operate on read-only access. Accrua never has the ability to move, withdraw, or transfer your money. We read transaction data to keep your books current; we cannot initiate payments.

03Eligibility and accounts

Accrua is built for digital-first, service-based businesses. We may decline or discontinue service if your business falls outside the profile the service is designed for — for example, cash-heavy operations, inventory-based businesses, or needs that exceed your plan tier.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

04Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information during intake and onboarding.
  • Grant and maintain the read-only connections and access we need to keep your books current.
  • Upload requested documents promptly so the monthly close stays on schedule.
  • Review the statements we deliver and flag anything that looks wrong in a timely manner.
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable law.

05Fees and billing

Accrua is billed as a recurring monthly subscription based on your plan tier. Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and are non-refundable except where required by law. Pricing shown during signup is provisional and may be adjusted before launch or with notice.

You authorize us to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may suspend the service until the balance is resolved.

06Not tax, legal, or investment advice

Accrua provides bookkeeping and controller review. We are not your auditor, tax preparer, or legal or investment advisor, and nothing we deliver constitutes tax, legal, or investment advice. You are responsible for your own tax filings and for consulting appropriate professionals for those matters.

07Third-party connections

The service relies on connections to third-party providers such as your banks, card processors, and accounting platforms. Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions. If a connection is revoked or a provider changes its access, we may be unable to keep your books current until it is restored.

08Cancellation and termination

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We may suspend or terminate the service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to serve your account is no longer feasible. On termination, we will make your records available to you for a reasonable period as described in our Privacy Policy.

09Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We take reasonable care in preparing your books, but you remain responsible for reviewing your financials and for the decisions you make from them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accrua’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
